ISLAMABAD: Justice Iqbal Hamidur Rehman of the Supreme Court (SC) on Thursday refused to hear the appeal of Asiya Bibi case on the ground that he had also heard Salman Taseer case.
The three-member bench had written to the chief justice of Pakistan for formation of another bench to hear the case. The hearing of the case was adjourned till indefinite period.
Earlier, the Lahore High Court (LHC) rejected the appeal against the death penalty of Asiya Bibi and this is her final appeal in apex court.
